What is coaching?

Coaching is a process that takes place within a partnership between the coach and the client.  The purpose of this collaborative relationship is to provide a way for you to transform some dissatisfying area of your life, or to give you a framework that allows you to achieve a goal.

For this partnership to work effectively, we must each fulfill certain responsibilities.  You must enter the relationship with the willingness to show up for yourself, an eagerness to move forward, and a commitment to do the work that will produce the progress you crave.

What I bring to the relationship is training, experience, and a coaching model designed for this process.  Through this 16-week series, I will lead you through conversations that will support you in developing a vision, a goal, and a plan to reach that goal.  By listening and observing, I will draw your attention to patterns that are not serving you.  I will hold you accountable for the action steps that you assign yourself each week.  Perhaps most importantly, I will give you the tools to acknowledge yourself, your hard work, and your breakthroughs.

Coaching is not therapy or a substitute for it.  The coaching process is designed for mentally healthy individuals who want to improve some aspect of their lives, or who want to achieve specific goals.
