Helping Women Pursue Happiness
Marta Anders
Certified Integrative Coach for Personal Transformation
Marta graduated from The Ford Institute for Integrative Coaching
at John F. Kennedy University with a certificate in Essentials Coaching. This eighteen-month program included doing her own deep inner work, being coached, and coaching others while under supervision. This is the first coaching program in the United States to be administered by a university. Certification is awarded by the International Association for Integrative Coaches (IAIC).
Marta had been coaching people informally for years. When she attended Debbie Ford's Shadow Process workshop, she recognized that Essentials Coaching was the method that could transform lives. Marta talks about what coaching means to her:
"I am humbled by my experiences with my clients. Even though we may start as strangers, the coaching relationship is an intimate one made possible by mutual commitment, trust, and an almost magical sense of safety. This comes from gentleness, an absence of judgment, and an assurance of confidentiality. My heart swells when I see how my clients hunger for an extraordinary life, and I know I have the best job on earth when we are able to celebrate their accomplishments together as we move through the sessions."
Marta is a Renaissance Soul whose life path has taken her down many interesting byways. Before training as a coach, she taught Study Skills, SAT Prep, and English for several years at a private high school. Earlier in life, she worked in diverse industries such as food service, cosmetics sales, and electronics sales support, as well as serving a stint in the United States Army. Born in a small town in upstate New York, she has lived in New York City, Phoenix, San Francisco, Alexandria, VA, and Panama.
Marta has an abiding interest in alternative education. She received her B.A. in Liberal Arts from Excelsior College, America's first Virtual University. She home-schooled her daughter for several years, and then her daughter attended a Montessori school for six years. They recently returned to home-schooling using an online high school program. Marta taught at a military high school for six years. She is inordinately proud of having graduated from The Ford Institute for Integrative Coaching at John F. Kennedy University, which is on the cutting edge of emotional and spiritual education.
Learning challenges is another area of interest for Marta. This began when it was discovered that her daughter has Auditory Processing Disorder and Sensory Integration Dysfunction. Later, it was determined that both Marta and her daughter have a mild form of Irlen Syndrome. In addition, Marta was diagnosed with ADD, which explains why she identified so readily with her students who share that diagnosis.
Marta recently moved to the Shenandoah Valley in Virginia with her husband and teenage daughter. They moved into a much larger home than they had previously, where they enjoy having room for their many books and their three adorable cats. Marta loves to cook, reads incessantly, adores TV and movies, can't live without music, and is somewhat unnaturally attached to her iMac.
Marta offers a complimentary 60 minute coaching session so you can decide if coaching is the right tool to support you in moving closer to your vision for an extraordinary life. Contact Marta here.
